How to Get Financing?
If you are purchasing both the home and land, then you will be financing with a "real property loan."
If you are purchasing a manufactured home (HUD code) and placing this home in a manufactured home community
on land you lease, then you will be financing your home with a "personal property loan."
This loan is generally easier to obtain than the "real property loan" but carries a higher interest rate.
Your Wick Builder will be able to help you determine what is best for you.
Be prepared to share with your lender and builder some basic financial information including your
income and ability to make a down payment. This information, along with the budget for purchasing the land and
building your home, will help in securing the appropriate financing for you. To calculate your monthly
payments, click on the Mortgage Calculator image.
Remember, your Wick Builder is there to help you make the home buying process easier. They may be able to assist
you or even arrange financing for your new home.
