The Wick Companies
Wick Building Systems, Inc. is dedicated to serving
the shelter needs and desires of families, farmers and businesses.
John F. Wick founded Wick Building Systems, Inc. in
1954 to sell and construct wood-frame metal-clad buildings. This
building system provides a wood-frame structure covered with formed
sheet steel that can serve a variety of building and shelter needs;
from commercial offices to mini-warehouses to churches to agricultural
buildings. At our production facilities, clear span trusses are
manufactured and steel siding and roofing are formed and cut. Along
with precut lumber, doors and trim materials, these components are
delivered to the building site. Company personnel or independent
contractors assemble these buildings at the building site. Marketed
under the brand Wick Buildings
and through a network of authorized independent builders, more than 60,000 buildings have been built.
In 1960, Wick Building Systems, Inc. entered the homebuilding
industry by offering manufactured homes. This home building system
allows for construction of nearly the entire home within environmentally
controlled factories. The home is delivered to the building site
in complete sections for fast completion and move-in. In 1988, modular
homes were added. Marketed through a network of authorized independent
builders, nearly 154,000 modular and manufactured homes have been
built for families throughout the United States.
In 1967, Wick Building Systems, Inc. introduced a
line of custom-designed, panelized homes, offering more choices
to homebuyers. This panelized building system allows for constructing
wall and floor sections within environmentally controlled factories
for assuring quality of materials and workmanship. This system provides
for significantly faster onsite construction and move-in by the
customer. Marketed under the brand name, John Wick
Homes, and through a network of authorized independent builders,
nearly 26,000 John Wick Homes have been constructed for families in the
greater Midwest.
